Aaron J. Flahaut is the President and Founder of the Forgotten Sacrifices Project. A career Airman in the United States Air Force, Aaron was selected for the Senior Leaders Enlisted to Commissioning Program and is training to become a pilot after serving as a Security Forces leader at home and abroad. His career has spanned law enforcement operations, overseas deployments, and partnership building with allied forces.

Aaron’s work has been shaped by a deep commitment to honoring the memory of service members who gave their lives outside of combat but in the line of duty. In 2024, he began championing the recognition of six local Airmen lost in a tragic helicopter crash in 1971, ultimately leading to their inclusion on the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C. That effort inspired the creation of the Forgotten Sacrifices Project.

Through this nonprofit, Aaron leads a team dedicated to remembrance, advocacy, and education, ensuring that the sacrifices of those who give their lives for their country are never forgotten.
