Secretary, Forgotten Sacrifices Project

Erica Weitgenant is an Air Force veteran, business leader, and dedicated advocate for the families who stand behind those who serve. As Secretary of the Forgotten Sacrifices Project, she brings a blend of operational precision, strategic insight, and heartfelt commitment to honoring the often-overlooked stories of service, resilience, and sacrifice.

A graduate of Liberty University with a Master of Business Administration, Erica’s career spans multiple sectors: military service, financial advising, and nonprofit governance. Her time in the U.S. Air Force instilled in her the discipline, adaptability, and mission-first mindset that now guide her work in organizational leadership. After transitioning to civilian life, she continued her commitment to service by helping families and business owners achieve stability and growth through financial planning and strategic support.

In her capacity as Secretary, Erica ensures the Forgotten Sacrifices Project operates with integrity, accountability, and purpose. She oversees board documentation, governance compliance, and organizational systems that support transparency and long-term sustainability. Beyond administration, she plays an active role in shaping initiatives that preserve historical records, support family recognition programs, and strengthen partnerships across military and civilian communities.

Erica’s leadership is defined by empathy and excellence. She understands the quiet strength of military spouses, parents, and children: the ones whose stories often remain untold. Through her work with FSP, she is deeply committed to amplifying those voices and ensuring that every individual who has borne the weight of service receives the recognition they deserve.

Erica continues to embody the values of dedication, faith, and community that have guided her throughout her life and career. Her service, both in uniform and beyond, reflects the very essence of what the Forgotten Sacrifices Project stands for: honoring not only the heroes who served, but also the families who sacrificed alongside them.
