Treasurer, Forgotten Sacrifices Project

Jordan Yanev is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) with deep expertise in financial governance, cybersecurity, and compliance. As Treasurer of the Forgotten Sacrifices Project, he brings more than a decade of professional experience across public accounting, risk assurance, and IT audit, ensuring that the organization’s financial and operational frameworks are both transparent and resilient.

Currently serving as a Supervising Senior in Cybersecurity and Privacy at Armanino LLP, Jordan helps clients strengthen their security posture and regulatory compliance across frameworks such as SOC 1, SOC 2, PCI DSS, and ISO 27001. His work focuses on bridging the gap between finance and technology, helping organizations protect their most valuable intellectual property: their data.

Prior to joining Armanino, Jordan built a strong foundation in accounting and audit through leadership roles at UHY LLP, MMA & Co. LLP, KPMG US, and other respected firms. His cross-disciplinary experience, spanning tax supervision, IT risk assessment, and cybersecurity strategy, equips him with a holistic perspective on governance, risk management, and financial integrity.

A graduate of the University of Richmond – Robins School of Business, Jordan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Certificate in Full Stack Web Development. He also completed a semester abroad at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, where he studied international business and economics.

Beyond his professional life, Jordan is passionate about mentorship and community engagement. He serves as Associate Treasurer for the ISACA Greater Washington D.C. Chapter, mentors young professionals in technology and accounting, and actively supports nonprofit and residential boards.

As Treasurer and founding board member of the Forgotten Sacrifices Project, Jordan ensures sound fiscal management, compliance, and accountability across all initiatives. His analytical mindset, integrity, and commitment to excellence make him an invaluable steward of FSP’s mission: to honor and preserve the legacies of service and sacrifice through responsible leadership and enduring trust.

Outside of his professional commitments, Jordan is a devoted father and fitness enthusiast who believes in balance, perseverance, and lifelong growth.
